U.S. SENATE – On Thursday, August 28 at 2:00 PM (MDT), Senator Tester (D-MT) will hold a Listening Session on rising concerns over human trafficking in Indian Country, especially in the booming oil region known as the Bakken, which covers parts of North Dakota and Montana.
According to the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, human trafficking is defined as the use of force, fraud, or coercion for the purposes of subjection to involuntary servitude, as well as any commercial sex act performed by a person under 18 years of age.
