Instructions for viewing past hearings
Since February 26th, 2002, the Committee on Indian Affairs has been broadcasting
it's hearings on the internet. After a hearing has taken place, usually within
a day, the hearing is posted on our Past Hearings
page. Hearings that are available to view will have a link that says "View Hearing"
underneath the description of the hearing. Clicking this link will start the
RealPlayer software and after a brief pause will begin the broadcast.
You will need to have RealPlayer installed on your computer in order to view the
broadcast. It can be obtained free of charge from
www.real.com.
Frequently Asked Questions
I went to your page to view the broadcast but the link was not active. What is going on?
- The link for the live broadcast is usually not activated until about 30 minutes before the start of the hearing. Prior to this time
the link will be inactive.
If the link appears to be inactive with less than thirty minutes before the start of the broadcast more than likely
your browser has not downloaded the most recent copy of the webpage. To fix this problem simply hit the reload/refresh button on your browser. That
should load a new copy with the active link.
The link was active but realplayer didn't do anything.
- Try copying the destination of the link into your real player location bar and hit enter. That should connect realplayer to the broadcast.
