WASHINGTON — U.S. Senator John Hoeven (R-ND) today issued the following statement after being re-elected as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs for the 116th Congress.
“It is a privilege to work on behalf of Indian Country as a member of the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs and a distinct honor to be re-elected to serve as Chairman of the Committee for the 116th Congress,” Hoeven said. “I will continue to advance the priorities of empowering tribal economic development as well as improving public safety, health care and education in tribal communities. I look forward to again working with Vice Chairman Senator Tom Udall (D-NM) to ensure we have another productive Congress on behalf of Indian Country.”
