Indian Affairs Oversight Hearing on Internet Gaming

Washington D.C. –
U.S. Senator Daniel K. Akaka (D-Hawaii), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs, will hold an oversight hearing on November 17, 2011, on the Future of Internet Gaming: What’s at Stake for Tribes, at 2:15 p.m. in room 628 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building.
This purpose of this hearing is to provide tribes and interested stakeholders with the opportunity to provide their views on the implications that Internet gaming would have on Indian Country if Congress considers legislation to legalize, regulate, and tax Internet gaming.
